In 1997 at the prompting of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Leslie Howell left his position as a Manager of Nuclear Medicine and a 22 year career to start Mount Zion Assemblies.

Pastor's Leslie and Cynthia Howell have dedicated themselves to take God's Word to a hurting and lost generation.  The Word of God is taught in a simplistic manner through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the Word ministers unconditional love, acceptance, and forgiveness to all that would receive it regardless of denominational or racial barriers.

Mount Zion Assemblies continues to grow as believers are empowered with present truths and future visions are added to the church.

Continuing the vision to take God's Word to a hurting and lost generation, Pastor Howell has implemented Leslie Howell Ministries which utilizes DVD's and CD's as well as the internet to take the gospel to those that would not ordinarily receive it or who are unable to come to church.  Future plans include television and radio programming in order to develop a more global presence that will minister to people from all walks of life.
